Subjects Taught
Special Education, Third Grade

I recieved a Bachelor's of Science degree in Early Childhood Education at Georgia Southwestern State University.  I continued my education online at Walden University and received a Master's Degree in Curriculumn, Instruction, and Assessment.

I have worked in Sumter County School System for over 7 years! I am elated to be a part of such a wonderful school system.  I have worked ASTEP, served as a long term sub in Special Education, and have taught in grades K, 2,3  and 4. Teaching is my passion and reading is my favorite pastime.

I am a native of Sumter County, Georgia. I was raised on the outskirts of Americus, Ga. on a small family farm. We planted several seasonal crops and were well known throughout the area for our fresh produce.

I have one son and one husband(a little humor). I enjoy reading, writing, and learning new things. I attend church in Baconton, Georgia, where i am a worship leader(in dance, definitely not singing). I am one that loves living and enjoying life.

After attending elementary school, I fell in love with one special teacher that really inspired me to teach. Her name was Beverly Wilson. She had a genuine love for all students and thought I was really smart, even when i didn't believe it myself.

After High school , I attended Fort Valley State University where i began to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher. Due to unforseen circumstances, I transferred to Georgia Southwestern State University where I completed my Undergraduate degree.

Since college, I have worked here in the public schools of Sumter County where I have learned a lot about my career and I really love it.
